Ghobad Shiva is a perfect and renowned graphic designer. I have been following his art works for forty years and I have been enjoying his dynamic enthusiasm, and I am learning from him. As a graphic designer who is working in graphics every now and then, I have always appreciated Shiva’s professional interest and creativity.
We were classmates in the University of fine arts and we both graduated in painting. He started working in graphics right after graduation. Being a painter helped him becoming a number one illustrator and he still is.
He got such a method that without looking at his signature, you could clearly recognise his works. Among those great graphic designers of the 1340s, he became one of the prominent artists who tried for discovering and developing the art. He went to the USA for two years and came back with more knowledge and illustrated better works. His different view of Iran traditional calligraphy, made him known among the founders of modern graphic designers. The comprehensive book of his art works which was published almost two years ago gives a clear description of Shiva’s job.
Our old friendship, despite all the ups and downs, has been very useful to me and I have always praised his creativity and talent which has sometimes been surrounded by his toughness.
I am writing to testify my being beside him and to admit that our great friendship has many times relieved the pain which often appears in a friendship, and thank god, will fast disappear.
